To commemorate my first deer hunt and first buck I bought a Peterson Sherlock Holmes Deerslayer.

First the buck.

Now the pipe.

With Petes it can be a crapshoot but this one smokes as well as my best ones.

They grow them pretty big up in the N.E. corner of Washington. He was at least 150. Not real big in the headgear area but I'm happy.

Thanks for the invite trailboss. 1500 miles is a long way to go just to smoke a pipe with like minded folks. I'm the only one I know around here that smokes a pipe. I have a pipe club meeting every night with the president of said club and all it's membership so it's very active. Thanks for the compliments on the buck. I'll get the mount back in March, so looking forward to that.
