That is some insane work ... but I can't plunk down $1800 on a pipe. My entire collection of pipes and tobaccos aren't even worth that.

That is awesome. I wonder if the carver is an Al Hazred? I would buy it, but I lent the King in Yellow my extra cash and he keeps melting my soul when I ask for it back.

    Wow, that's amazing!
Though I'm sad to say that I've never read any Lovecraft. I've been meaning to, just haven't gotten around to it.

    Mock not Cthulu, Orley.

That'd be a perfect Halloween pipe, but $1800, never gonna happen.

I am a big fan and love the pipe but the price of admission is a bit too high. I would pay that for Talbert's Cthulhu in a second though.

That Downie guy is incredible. I think he is as imaginative as Talbert.

This is the coolest meerschaum pipe I have ever seen. A friend of mine recently got an Ent pipe (Treebeard I believe) from Yanik and I thought that was the best, but this is ridiculous.

The Ood is also pretty rad. Thanks for the link, Wyfbane, yet another amazing pipe maker that I've never heard of.

That is a very impressive carving for sure, and I do like Lovecraft's stories...but even if it was affordable, I prefer non-figural meers for smoking. I'm sure someone will purchase it though...a unique and well crafted piece.

@MLC: LOL...that "Family Circus" parody is hilarious.

For Lovecraft fans, in case anyone has not seen it, this was a very well done film in the style of the classic silent era:

Man, how much time does it take to make something like that? That's just amazing.

Really like Lovecraftian lore, and that is a gorgeous meerschaum! If my Bruce Weaver addiction wasn't so bad, I would be sorely tempted to buy it.
