Since I'm traveling with family I've hardly had a chance to smoke my pipe. Last night my wife and I managed to get her grandparents to baby sit while we walked out on the beach . Unfortunately it was super windy. While my pipe had no problem staying lit... It also burned through the tobacco in record time... Like 8 minutes because of the wind. Oh to have not thought to bring the one pipe in my repertoire I just got back from refurbishment for this exact problem. Damnit!

Why didn't I bring you Windproof pipe?

I use those little Chinese tin wind screens from 4Noggins. They have a spring clip and fit just about any bowl diameter. I like em so much I even use em smoking indoors around the house. Just get,a better burn with them oftentimes.

It sounds like the 4Noggins wind screens pay for themselves in tobacco. Maybe keep two in the car, two

in the house.

I keep the windscreens in my jeep just for those occasions, and when the top is off. Good insurance for just a couple of bucks.
