Hello everyone. I'm new to this forum and fairly new to pipe smoking in general. I received a pipe from a friend of mine. I've enclosed a couple of pics. All I can find out is that logo belongs to H.T.L company in England. However, I can find no information regarding any pipes or history of this company. Any help would be awesome. I would just like to know what I got. Thank you.

Greetings,
I believe H.T.L. stands for Hiland's Tobacco Locker, a southern California retail tobacco chain. I worked at the one in the La Mirada Mall (now long gone) in La Mirada, CA from 1976 to 1981. We had a pipe board on the back wall behind the counter, on which we displayed our "house" pipes, H.T.L. being one of them. Savinelli, Comoy, and/or GBD made them as seconds and stamped the nomenclature on them for Hiland's.
Of course, H.T.L. could stand for something completely different. The only pipes I've seen with H.T.L. on them were from Hiland's Tobacco Locker.
