I frequently tell myself I can't open anything new until I smoke down the stock of currently open tins.

I don't think I'm doing too good as I just counted 32 open tins.

How many open tins do you have?

One open tin, one open carafe, half-a-dozen baggies of various samples I've received in the last week or two, and 23 jars on the go at the moment...although some of those are down to the last bowl.

Wow Kevin, 32 tins? I'd feel lucky if I had 32 tins of baccy, much less 32 open ones! For the record, I have just 3 open now.

2 tins and 26 jars in active rotation just now.
I've been attempting the same, namely, reducing that number. No joy here either, just opened another jar of Kendal Kentucky last night....

Not a problem though, wondrous variety!

3 tins and 9 jars... I have four new tins that I desperately want to try but feel like I should wait until the current three tins are empty, first. The jars have anywhere from 4-16oz each so I figure that will take forever to finish and doesn't count. Plus the jars have my bulk go to tobaccos like Penzance, Cherry Bomb and 1Q. I buy tins for variety.

Way too many lol. I have a number of blends that I've put into mason jars. Just don't have enough jars to transfer over some of the new stuff. There's probably a dozen or so tins just laying around of which probably 8 or 9 are open.

Lets see.... I have 7 open tins, 10 mason jars, and 50 bowl to 2 bowl samples... not too much!

Mason jars and bale top jars, mason jars and bale top jars.... that is all!

OK, I'm going with only open tins and not tins that have been transferred to Mason Jars. Also, I'm not including any bulk which hasn't been transferred to jars yet.

13 open tins. Most are going to be put into Mason jars when I get some more half-pint ones since the quart ones would be overkill. The more appropriate question would be, "How many tins do you have that aren't open?" The answer there is easy. Zero.

Dang it, just opened another while reading this. I have about 10 tins, 3 or 4 soft pouches, and about 10 mason jars open. I think I'm going to try and reduce the open tin count by putting the tins into jars....then ba bing.....no open tins and I can open more.

I only have one open at this time. I would say I only have at most 2 tins at a time.

I move stuff out of the tins and into jars as soon as I pop 'em, so no open tins technically. But I do have 5 different tin blends on the go: Vintage Syrian, FMOTT, Blue Note, X Sweet Mystery, Eileen's Dream, plus three bulk blends: Colombian Mocha, Raspberry Cream and 1-Q.

I should clarify my statement earlier. I have 10 "unopened" tins, but they are cellared so I don't really count them.

I try to do the same. I have about 36 mason jars with remnants of tins in them but I have yet to open a brand new tin in months. I just smoke from the jar with the least amount and work my way up to the fullest.

I am sitting on an unopened tin of Black House because I declared I would first finish off all the other half empty tins I have strewn about. I suspect I will cave in and open it soon...

No more than 1 tin or jar at a time. The discipline to do that is almost impossible considering the amount of tobacco im sitting on.

10 Mason Jars (medium and Large)
    14 Tins opened (well preserved)
    a couple of pouches
But too many tins are waiting... the reason is that 24hrs in a day isn't enough
