I'm a new pipe smoker trying to find my way. I've been lurking for a month or so picking up some advice here and there. I've tried 3 different tobaccos so far: Grandpa's Blend, Golden Dansk, and an OTC aro. While I enjoy them, I am looking for a tobacco to really grab me.
Thank you to all of your insights on this forum. It is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. I’m not familiar with the blends listed in your post. Are you looking to try some non aromatics or looking for some new aromatics to try

I am open to trying both.
The blends may have been the shop's own blends, I'm not sure. I will inquire.

shop blends can be good and readily available which is nice. Check out tobaccoreviews.com and find some blends that sound exciting. If you can’t find them locally (like me) then check out some online shops. Lots of good online merchants are also site sponsors here.

The answer is C&D's Black Frigate!
If you didn't, I would have.
Welcome to the forums! Black Frigate is one of those that just grabs you by the coin purse. That smokey little delicious leaf is pure delight in a pipe no matter the temperature. I've only just bought my first few tins of it, so I've only had so far in the heat of summer. Can't wait to find out how it tastes in the winter. Best of luck on your search! I'd also check out Pipes & Cigars for some blends to try. I've been building a list of small samples of Sutliff from them and plan to place an order soon. Just stuff I want to give a whirl.

Howdy from upstate SC! You wouldn't like Black Frigate. It's hideous. Tastes like it was blended in a sewer, & smells worse. You'd hate it. Trust me. The less of it you smoke, the better for me. -evyl grin-

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome! Some items I will consider (first order business):
1. Black Frigate is a must. I have gathered this from other threads as well.

2. I will most likely pick up a bag of MM seconds. I hear they are worth it.

3. I am on the lookout for Sutliff Aromatic English and Navy Flake just because.
Is there a Navy Flake that you would recommend other than Black Frigate?
Here are the two pipes that I own at the moment:

I may be on the lookout for a new/old pipe or two. The search at antique stores and estate sales may be fun for the summer.

Your images didn't show up. Here's a thread that you can use to help you do the upload so we can see your pipes: Photo Upload
1.) Good man, Black Frigate is great, I'm sure you'll love it just like me. I just finished drying more out for my next smoke.
2.) Can't go wrong with the MM seconds bag. I just bought one a couple weeks ago and I couldn't be happier with the selection I received.
3.) I am probably going to do the same very soon myself. I think P&C's has like 80 of Sutliff's blends on hand, maybe a few are backordered, but the majority are all there. Just have to decide what I want and narrow it down so I don't receive a box large enough to hide in on my porch.

Google photos are still a mystery to me. Here's the URL that doesn't show the photo: (spaces added to make it not a link)

A bit long and obscure, no?
Here's another way of expressing what may work: Once your photos are on a photo hosting site (such as Imgur.com; Postimage; Dropbox, etc. Photobucket), or on virtually any site, including this site's album such as eBay, Amazon, you-name-it, select the full sized image, then Control-click (Mac) or Right-click (Windows) on the image itself, then choose copy image location. Now paste that URL (the full web address, which should end in .jpg) into the IMG box in the reply window of the thread you're posting to.
The site's album is also a good choice for displaying photos.
Will that work for your photo? I can't say for sure, but please do try it!
