Can't you just store them on your computer? Admittedly, I know very little about the photo storing sites but I just just upload from here when I want to post a photo. I don't do it very often. Should I be using one of these sites? What are the advantages?

mikestanley, I use Photobucket just because I have their app on my phone that automatically uploads my pictures to the site. The only problem I've had with Photobucket is an ad that will annoy you when access your albums. Since I have adblock on my browser that really isn't much of a problem. I would move to imgur if there were some advantage. I've also got several albums on Photobucket I share with friends and family. I don't have to send pictures to five people five times. Imgur probably has similar features.
