If you like a nic-punch, I will recommend Irish Flake from Peterson. It is a deeper and more heavy flake. I have not tried HH Old Dark Fired, but I have a feeling it is in the same alley. please correct me if I'm wrong. MacBaren Navy Flake is another Va/Burley flake wich I enjoy, with a hint of rum-topping.

+1 on the Irish Flake. It's awesome.
Also, Bob's Chocolate flake is really nice. Not sure if it's classed as an aro or not though...

Oh,sorry, misread that,slow.
I'd suggest trying the MacBaren's Navy, or Peterson's Irish. I have smoked 'em all, but find 'em too high in nic for me.
You might enjoy Dunhill Flake, as well.

Cornell and Diehls Safe Harbor Flake is a damn good smoke if Burley is your thing. I have a tin of Irish Flake in my cabinet and am also too afraid to open it up. For something very tasty that is non flake related, give GL Pease Haddos Delight a try.

Be careful with Peterson Irish Flake. It can knock you on your ass.
IMO, the closest thing to Peterson University Flake is Mac Baren Navy Flake.
In a totally different genre, if you want to branch out, try Frog Morton and Maltese Falcon.

I tried Peterson's Irish Flake for the first time a little more than a month ago and it was a very unique experience. I can confirm that it has quite a large nic hit associated with it, but it was "oh, so good". Looking forward to trying some of Flakes listed in this thread.
