Just picked up this pipe. It is a beautiful cross grain 801. About group3 in size. It has a stinger in it. I can not find any like this in the web.

The savinelli Extra was a little step over the entry level production.You can see the small crown instead of the classic "S" Savinelli logo on the stem.The 3 digit shape number says of a post 1975 production.According to the shape number and the line of the product i whould say that has been produced in the 80's and guess the second part of that decade.Enjoy it! Thanks for the information. I have two Dunhills in this size that are blasted which is not my favorite finish. This Savinelli is pretty. I am not sure whether to sell or keep it. Decisions decisions!

Thanks Maurizio. The similar size Castello I have is about mid 80s also. Looks like they were purchased and not smoked.
