    Yo jay,

    Not to worry. This great cake is first and foremost a robust English, with Latakia leading the way. All blends are cased, and almost all have at least a tiny bit of topping. My favorites have toppings that are almost subliminal. The black Cavendish here provides a creamy fullness.
