Has anyone heard of Thompson or Ehrlich pipes? I have found one of each that i really like. They look beautiful , but are they good smokers?

If in good condition you can’t go wrong with Ehrlich pipes they are the most found pipes at yard sales around my area in southern Maine and not surprising since they were made in Boston at their shop, sadly they are not what they once were as they are several small almost kiosk like places rather than the large B&M they once were.
