As a Marine, I will hoist a toast to the Marine Corps.
I will smoke a quite bowl and remember, our storied history.
I will also watch Back to Batan, and The Sands of Iwo Jima.
This first 12 days of November are always an important in my family.
They consist of anniversaries, birthdays, and Veteran's Day.
One the 4 birthdays in the immediate family is my father's his 73rd(yesterday).
He's known to his friends as Gunny, or "The Old Guns".

Happy 236th... Semper Fidelis
And, Veteran's Day (tomorrow).

In honor of Veteran's day the History Channel has been showing a two hour program each night called 'Vietnam in HD' Its a three night program thats concluding tonight, but im sure they'll be showing the other parts prior to the conclusion tonight. Anyways, its an excellent program that i would recommend checking out.
