At his age I was working on farm, picking cotton, chores , feeding chickens, hogs . Wanted you all to see in the middle of the letter how soon they ask for cash. LOL

Nice spirited kid, doesn't seem to have any homesick problems. Gotta have some walkin' around money.

Ha! My granny and her 3 sisters grew up picking cotton. All generous ladies but tight with money. I knew better than to ask for money around the time I learned to write. Maybe it was my penmanship? Your grandson writes better than I do to this day.

Daughter called it Nick, Nack money and was left in the car. I told her how's he gonna buy tobbaco for his pipe ( gave him a small cob) if he don't have Nick Nack money.

Are you kidding? I'm about to send him some money - that letter was great and I LOVED how he just slipped that request for money in there. Excellent technique!
