Gentleman!
I just had a phenomenal smoke, and decided I needed to brag! I mentioned I have been having trouble with smoke length and room note, I went and purchased an English blend from a local shop. It wasn't even 5 bucks an ounce and holy smokes (PUN!), I had three bowls back to back! Excellent stuff... Here's the question: halfway thru the 2nd bowl and most of the third bowl I started getting some tongue bite. Is that just from the amount I smoked? There are zero aromatics in the blend, just tobacco, according to the guy at the shop. Any ideas?
Thanks guys!

I'd definitely bet that the bite was from tongue fatigue. Glad you had a great smoke!
Ive found that store blends are typically easy to smoke. I think this has a lot to do with moisture content. They buy (or sometimes mix) bulk tobaccos and then the blend sits in a jar for a while. Bulks are usually dryer than tins anyway, and then the loose lid jar time lets the extra moisture escape. I just picked up a B&M burley blend and it smokes like a champ!
