Just bought this Vintage ASTOR 66 Smoking Pipe MADE IN LONDON ENGLAND from eBay. Wasn't this a brand made by Comoy? Correct me if I am wrong. Purchased it for a low, low price. $18.00. Did I pay too much? Anyone else have this brand?

Looks like a nice pipe.

The bit's a little thin for me... I'd probably bite through it.

But, it looks like you got a good deal.

As for the history of the brand... Someone else will jump in.

Great buy. Astor is made by Comoy. I love that canadian style. Jealous. Looking for a great bent bulldog that Astor made, cheapest I can find is $40.

Beautiful. Unless it doesn't smoke, how could you get bit for $18, my friend? Looks like a good blast and it is a full 6", I'll give you $20 for it right now. :D

Made in London, for eighteen bucks? Smokable and in reasonable shape. Looks like a deal to me.

Also, how can you go wrong with a Canadian (I'm thinking this is). It's one of the stateliest shapes. I have

three, a Stanwell brushed black, a Joh's blast, and an Iwan Ries Exclusive smooth, all precisely engineered.

Can't beat them with a stick, as the old expression goes.
