    Yes it is. trying to mount a stem in the walnut is asking for disaster. It WILL split eventually. I am planning on the ball type stem I used for the short one on the Bursar pipe for this one. Sound OK?

    I have a round 4inch x 3inch thick Black walnut stock sitting around.
    Now I know what to do with it. Different shape though. The layout you drew
    is so simple that I have over drawin the pipes I have already done.
    You can bet your bottom dollar that my pipes do not even compaair to yours.
    3 lathes !!! That would be a lot of beers to give up to buy. But you being single
    you do not a produt manager.
