Mates, I haven't been here in a while. When I first started a few years ago I found I liked mostly va pers and they have been my main smoke. Every once in a while I will smoke something with Latakia, but I'm not a big fan. Recently, I stumbled across GL Pease Jacknife Ready Rub and bam....loved it. I think it may be the dark Kentucky I like.
Knowing I like jackknife, can you guys recommend some other similar tobacco to try?

A heavy Latakia blend with rough-cut Burley, bright Virginia flake, and a good amount of rough-cut cigar leaf. Billy Budd was created for C&D's late friend Sailorman Jack.
GOOD STUFF...

I agree with Jim. A different beast than Jackknife but wonderful.
I've been thinking about getting a tin of the Jackknife Ready Rubbed to compare to the plug version.

Newminster's #403 should do the trick.

I also have mixed my own Peter Stokkebye VaBur using their Luxury Navy Flake and their Pressed Burley.

I agree with mrenglish - try the plug and compare. Then try Peterson's Perfect Plug and of course Triple Play.

If you like JKP, here's a few to try:
Peterson Irish Flake / Rattray Sterling Flake (current incarnation of IF)

C&D Burley Flake #3

Mac Baren HH Bold Kentucky and Old Dark Fired

Samuel Gawith Cob Plug

C&D Big N' Burley and Old Joe Krantz
