Recently I got me a very nice GBD pipe which is a Mistry for me.

On one side it have a: GBD in oval and underneath that neocraft

On the other side there is a: 1432 under that l.lavisse and under that Paris.

I have searched the net and in the forums but have found no mention about l.lavisse or neocraft. Also this model number does not appear on GBD model charts.

So. What do I have here? Can anyone give me some information about this model? Its time on manufacture? Any clue?

I'm constantly finding GBD shapes that are not listed in the Perusa site (a collector's site). There is no shape chart from the factory.

Dating GBDs is difficult at best and sometimes impossible. Usually the best you can do is get a production range. That is a period in which that shape was produced. There is no comprehensive shape listing I am aware of so in your case it will probably be by chance that you get any certain answer. Sorry, I' sure that's not what you wanted to hear.

I had a hard time viewing those photos, here's some larger pictures.

With the brass rondell, you can assume it was made before 1982.

I don't follow the French stamped GBD's as closely, so that one is a real mystery to me.

Another Neocraft was sold in a lot recently.

And another. They all seem to be a type of Cutty shape.

This 1432 is sandblasted, but no close-up of the nomenclature.

Ah the mysteries of GBD.
