This isn't Bash or Ubuntu running in a VM. This is a real native Bash Linux binary running on Windows itself. It's fast and lightweight and it's the real binaries.

Windows with Linux on it as a native app? Well. Don't Mind If I Do!

That is pretty sweet. Personally, I'd still rather dual-boot full OS's. An Ubuntu app for Windows 10 reminds me of "Wine"(Windows Emulator) that I used to use when I had Ubuntu. Cool stuff.

I think M$ are losing a lot of developers to Linux. I did an evaluation of Visual Studio Code which is a free code editor that allows development of ASP.NET apps on Windows, OSX, and Linux currently in beta. I never thought I'd see the day they'd play nice with others in any regard let alone integrate Linux with Windows. I guess they finally realize they've been pricing themselves out of existence. This almost makes me want to upgrade to Windows 10. Almost.
