I ordered 2 boxes of each and read a suggestion to cut the flakes in half and stand then on end using Ball pint size Mason jars. Thanks for the suggestion, a box of flakes fits perfectly in a jar. And the jars takes up very little storage room. I knew this forum was good. :)

I'm generally the lone guy of the opinion to keep in the box. After buying a decades old box from PipeStud, I still had to dry it out.

Nate, I still think that was a lucky box and location dependent. I still jar every box I get. Jars are cheaper that the box, so why risk it?

I too leave my boxes alone, aside from a food saver grade sealed outer layer. Ten year old boxes of SG and GH are still fantastic. I'm willing to take the risks. And I've experienced no loss yet.

I'm still awaiting my four boxes of FVF from the States. They have rather worryingly been stuck at London Heathrow Airport for a few days...am thinking customs might have an interest :crying:
Regards,
Jay.
