At the risk of disappointing Brian and Kevin, I do listen to some other podcasts... and one of those is the Freakonomics podcast. A few days ago, they did this piece titled "Help Wanted. No Smokers Need Apply", in which the podcasters talk with a bioethicist about current legislation in 21 states that essentially allows employers to weed out (so to speak) job applicants who use tobacco products in order to cut health care costs.
It's an interesting conversation - though they raise more questions than they really have time to get into in depth.
