It has not been easy to find a quality 1962 Dunhill as it's been several years in search. Most have been real beat and just not something I wanted to deal with or in the case of one, astronomical in price. Dave Neeb had it on his site. I've never been enamored with the panel shape but this ODA 836 has a deep well for hour plus relaxing smokes. It's not a clencher either as the bit is narrow to keep within the pipe's artistic shape. That's fine since I don't clench much. It is chock full of birdseye and a little cross grain. This ranks up there with my 35 Dunhill for the best smoking honors.

Very nice, glad your long journey finally came to an end. I still wondering what pipe I want to find in my birthyear, thinking maybe a Peterson but not sure what their best pipes were in 1967

You can get a Dunny Shell from '67 for not a lot more than you will pay for a good Pete from '67 and you will be more positive of the year.
