Folks:
I voted today in my first caucus.
My guy lost and that's really, okay. I've lived in and traveled though enough third world countries where "emerging" would be a kind enough descriptor twenty or thirty years down the road.
I loved being part of the democratic process. I was casting a vote, in a country plagued by political recriminations, but nobody was shot, whipped or had a car tire set afire around their neck for their beliefs.
I was truly humbled by the experience. And I was thankful.
