Hi all, I know there's a lot of junk out there, but I do have my favorites. Like to hear what everyone else likes. I love Walking Dead, it's my number one. I also like Revolution and American Horror Story, which is waaaaay out there. As far as comedies, I think Modern Family and Parks and Recreation are tops. Ron Swanson rules, period. Best Mustache on tv. Lord help me, I have started to like Super Fun Night with Rebel Wilson, my guilty pleasure.

Forgot about Game of Thrones. It is one of the best, it just takes forever between seasons, but always worth it.

Forgot about Tosh.0. In the same vein, I also love America's Funniest Home Videos and Ridiculousness. My ultimate cable channel would be all 3 of those on 24x7.

From the recent/current series I've liked:

    • Ray Donovan
    • Homeland
    • Americans
    • Peaky Blinders
    • Ripper Street
    • Black Mirror

I've started to watch some but the writing is sometimes just too terrible or the plots too absurd for my liking. Couple of those include: The Following, The Blacklist

"Top Gear", "Red Eye", and "Duck Dynasty." The original "Top Gear" not the imitation US one.

I don't watch a lot of current TV - I tend to wait until at least a season is out, and then catch up afterwards.

Currently, I'm catching up on Castle, and I need to get the last season or two of Burn Notice. I've heard that someone's redoing The Tomorrow People, which I remember fondly from childhood, and should probably start watching that as well.

Next on the list will probably be Grimm, and the Matt Smith seasons of Dr. Who (I stopped watching at the point he started - it just wasn't that good anymore, IMHO, and "Day of the Doctor" just kinda confirmed it for me).

All time favorites include Star Trek (original series and Next Generation, as well as Voyager), Stargate, Farscape, and Monty Python's Flying Circus.

Don't like TV in general. Liked "Northern Exposure" when it was on, but I think it was because I lusted after Jeanine Turner so much.

I love the shows made during the 1950's - 1970's mostly.

The fact that many are still being shown around the world many years after their original production speaks well. Many shows today are cancelled before finishing 1 season. Values of the past should still exist today but many producers seem to disagree

Favorites change as new episodes and shows air, I'm not into re-runs or shows that bring in well known actors for a cameo. Just finished with Ray Donavan, now it's Sons of Anarchy and Black List. A big fan of James Spader since Boston Legal.

How is that Agents of Shield?

I've wanted to like this show, but it is just not coming together for me. Each episode is too "self contained" for my liking... there is a start, middle, and finish with little to no carryover from week to week. I also find that, other than Coulson, none of the characters offer anything that catches my interest. I'll continue to watch for now, but if I don't see any improvement (from my point of view) then when the season ends that will be all for me.
