Do you have any favorite Christmas Movies? If so, what are they?
I would have to say that there isn't a Christmas movie that I don't like. But my absolute favorites that I must watch every year are:
It's a Wonderful Life

Miracle on 34th Street

A Christmas Story

Scrooged (with Bill Murray)

I don't think I have a favorite Christmas movie - only a favorite Christmas song: Fairytale of new York - The Pouges. Sheer brilliance ....

There are only two I watch every year and you have mentioned them.
Scrooged w/ Bill Murray is a classic (Will you please for the love of god and your own body hold the goddamn Hammering!!)

Christmas Vacation (the song at the beginning makes me happy).
A close runner up is Love Actually - which while not a pure Christmas movie, the movie runs around the Christmas time of year.

A Christmas Carol (the 1951 version with Alistair Sim, the absolute best Scrooge ever)

Scrooge (the 1970 musical with Albert Finney)

A Christmas Story (big family favorite)

It's a Wonderful Life

Bad Santa

A Christmas Story (Peter Billingsley, Darren McGavin, et al) - Narrated by Jean Shepherd

Evokes many childhood memories of that absolutely magical time of year.
Ditto sinistertopiary's opinion of A Christmas Carol (1951)

My wife Leta is a Christmas movie fanatic. If you only knew how many times I have already seen Elf, National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, and Christmas Story, you would never believe me. She also listens to Christmas music all of December. One movie that I enjoy, that is set during Christmas, is Lethal Weapon. The soundtrack is very bluesy, with some good sax. The movie show how depressed some people get that time of year. Not me. I love the holiday season.

I didn't even think it was possible to post as anonymous. Strange.

Gee, Sable, sounds like it would go well with my favorite Christmas carol. "Fairytale of New York" by the Pogues.

That's actually a great song.
