They all seem to look the same, 90% billiards, usually small bowls, boring status symbols. No flames please just my 2 worthless cents.

Truth?
I've read perhaps a dozen books about the battle of Waterloo. If I were EVER to spend the price of a used car on a pipe product [I'm not], this'd be it. . . and I don't even really like the shape that much.

What are the odds that the person bought it did so as an investment and won't smoke it?

I knew three collectors fairly well in the late 90's who chased Dunhill limited edition pipes and smoked them. At least in those days, people who could afford to play in that park had lots of other available investment vehicles.

I think the cannon tamper is brilliant & if Dunhill released just that, as a solo purchase, I'd try to budget for it.
