I picked up an estate says Maro Phecial on the side, with a sterling band, not country of origin. I can only find an estate the R. Boswell sold a few years ago on worthpoint. Any one heard of this pipe?

That just doesn't sound right to me. Is there any chance you weren't able to read the name clearly?
Yeah, it is cursive. It could be Mano instead of Maro the ecial are clear but the P and h are not.
