Has anyone tried out these blends? I was reading some reviews on them but I like to get a little more than reviews that are one-sided. They seem pretty good and seem like something I might like.

Erik was at our pipe guild last month with all four of the 4th gen there for everyone to try. I think I tried 3 of them and really liked the 1957 blend. It's an aro, had a sweet creamy smoke and the wife liked the room note- which I could detect on my beard for a few hours after :)

Cavendish I have the 4th Gen 1931 in my weekly rotation. This is my go to for a non aro Virginia type Flake. Once lit it stays lit,is smooth and has great flavor. Keeping in mind I have only been smoking for 8 months , hope this helps.

I've only smoked the 1897 but it is absolutely delightful; one of my favorites overall. I am interested to try the 1957 also. I hope it is as good as it's predecessor; if so 4th Generation aros could become my favorite aros. Happy smoking!
