I tried some EMP for the first time, after really enjoying some Nightcap for the last few days. Anyway, I liked the EMP so much I smoked three bowls in a row (Hello, Nicholas!). I notice that it's Virginia, Oriental, and Latakia. Are there other blends of these three on the same level as EMP?
I found this tin in a cigar shop and noticed the label was a bit faded. Is there some way to date Dunhill's tins?
I think I've found a favorite!

Well, I like EMP but I often add a pinch of a Lat heavy blend to it, like Blue Mountain -- I'd like it if it had a smidge more Latakia. But it's a tasty oriental forward blend.
Orlik apparently confirmed to Bob Tate that there's Latakia in the blend -- the review with that info is here ( unless he made up the information he claims to have gotten from the blender). To me the Lat is detectible in the tin note, though not so much in the smoke.

You did come off a bit harsh, IMHO.
EMP is one of my favorites, and I buy it in bulk. Just a bit amount of latakia.
I love it.
Of course, to each his own.
