    Royal Yacht: $10.88 x 2 = $21.76 / 3 = $7.25/each

    Good deal!

    Why doesn't P&C sell Dunhill's Baby's Bottom?

Great deal. Wish they'd included Baby's Bottom. Don't like the name, but the blend sounds intriguing.

Me too, first ever. This was the only way I could ever justify buying this blend.

Does this count as throwing the thread off rails?

The bulk BB1938 isn't the same as tinned. I bought a ton of Baby's Bottom when it was re-released and it was labeled Baby's Bottom. I just checked Smoking Pipes and they have now changed the tins name to BB 1938. I don't care as long as the blend tastes the same. But I now have collectors tins... $100 each. Any takers?

33% off. Time to stock up on EMP.

I got DNR and Dunhill Flake and a Sav unfinished author. I've ordered from 2 sites in the last hour. Anything for me to get from Smoking Pipes or 4 Noggins to complete the hat trick?

I just checked Smoking Pipes and they have now changed the tins name to BB 1938.

I think all of them, including the Dunhill version, have been relabeled as such to avoid the Jared Fogle implications of the original name.

I've stocked up on a dozen DNR, 15 Dunhill Flake, and even some Royal Yacht. Prices will NEVER be better! Stock up now or regret it later.

Damn it! I've got to stop looking at these forums... I just bought several pounds of tobacco from all over the world thinking to myself that I can't possibly need anymore tobacco, then I saw this thread and realized I need more Royal Yacht, so Royal Yacht it is!

Tempting to say the least. I've been wanting to try 965 and especially Royal Yacht. Will have to wait though. They throw these on sale often enough I guess.

You see 5 for 4 several times a year, 4 for 3 a couple of times a year but I don't remember seeing 3 for 2 at all over the past two years I've been watching.

I filled out my Dunhill cellar with some RY and Durbar.

Didn't know Father's Day was also this weekend!

I went back for thirds. Couldn't resist!

The strategy I used was lumping tins with the same price point in its own order, so I placed one order with just DNR, a second with just Royal Yacht, and a third with a mix of tins at the $9.15 price.

I'm going to raid this later today.

jmatt, that's a bummer. If I were going to run this kind of sale, I would make sure that there were more of the cheaper tins than the expensive ones, but that's just Machiavellian me.

I hope that later, after church and family time, there will be some Royal Yacht left.

This sale is still going strong. I've smoked Dunhill Flake a number of times (got some jarred) but since this will cellar nicely I picked up a few more tins; also grabbed some Durbar and Aperitif.

I failed to resist the temptation. Even with local Pennsylvaia sales tax (6%), it's a good deal. I recharged my stash of 965 and MM, and will give Standard Mixture a try.

I guess I shoulda learned youz guys while the sale was on. You only got the discount if you bought in threes; I.E. 3,6,9,12 tins, etc. If you ordered 11 tins, you paid full price for 2 of them. And you gotta, GOTTA, get the free shipping at $99 or you've canceled out your savings on shipping charges. And if any of you had a coupon, it may have also been applied to your total (don't know for sure as I didn't have a coupon code). Geez, you guys! (payment for said advice accepted in the form of unopened Dunhill tins)

I stuck with my 9 RY and 9 Durbar order.

Yeah, I goofed on my initial order and added 10 DNR to some McClelland tins. Once I realized my error later, I placed a second order for 12 more DNR. Somehow that made me feel better. Ha!

Zito, I wasn't aware of McCranies, but after a quick search I'm assuming the 2008 Virginia is the one to try? Based on tobaccoreviews anyways... I need more tobacco... so... thanks for this

Stopped at 100 pounds?, yea like the middle of last year although I am getting better. At over 166 pounds and 450+ differant blends I just felt I was good on the Dunhill, I mean I do have 15 DNR already.

Now lets do a buy 2 get one on the McClelland or Pease and I would jump.

Nate, yes the 2008 virginia ribbon and flake are the ones I was talking about. Alas I am working more on variety than quantity at this time due to age and time constraints if you know what I mean. LOL

I got my orders today, (Thurs) from this sale. That's faster than any order ever came from P&C before. UPS delivered straight to my house this time. The delivery usually goes UPS to USPS and then me. I was talking to a friend about this sale, and we were wondering if the new FDA rules about packaging might have been a reason for doing it.
