I've got my hands on a decent block from Tim West, and I'm eyeballing it, and I'm mostly convinced it's going to be a bent poker/sitter.

I've noticed that some of the better pipe makers are pretty obscure, and hard to find. Iffin' you are so inclined, please give me some names (preferably ones with websites with a gallery of their work) of your favorite pipe makers.

I'm hoping to see a finished product like the idea of the pipe I have in mind.

Edit: Corrected capitalization in title, L.

lonestar on this site makes some beautiful pipes, and doesn't charge what they're worth because he's not famous yet. The pictures don't do them justice. I don't believe he has a site yet, but I bet if you PMd him, he could send you some pics of his work.

    Check out Boswell's

"A pipe is the fountain of contemplation, the source of pleasure, the companion of the wise; and the man who smokes, thinks like a philosopher and acts like a Samaritan."

I would check out Rad Davis, his gallery has great pics and he makes great pipes.

Yes indeed. It's just as much learning what not to do, as what to do. Thanks for the input guys.

That's a superb list, lots to look at and don't you worry, I will be posting pics when I get it finished.

I gotta say it again, superb list. It should be stickied or something. I'm only into the first 5 in numbersix's list and geez, fantastic pipe making and excellent photography too.
