The first three or four times I saw the ads, I thought I was supposed to recognize this guy, and because
of his age (around my own) I kept trying to. Then it dawned that it was a persona, the most interesting
man in the world. It's a brilliant campaign, but as I've seen additional versions, I think they have to wrap
it up. They've always managed to make the fantasy figure seem bigger than life. Now he's getting a little
more like Uncle Alex, and I see him as more bluff than magic. I think Equis should fold while they're still
ahead. The actor did a good job, and he looks great with a pipe.

cigarmaster- I'm going to have to say I disagree. I think New Castle has the best advertising campaign for beer I've seen.
Roth- +1 on that. My friends and I joke that the 'most interesting man in the world' drinks crap beer.
I did like their ads when it first started. It is getting a bit stale.

I find the humor in the ads, not worried about the beer as everybody has different tastes. However, I know that Dos Equis enjoyed a spike in sales after the ads aired...so, it worked.
Without trying to sound conceited, I am actually the most interesting man in America.
