The title says it all. I have one old Kaywoodie, ugly as sin, but I'll smoke it once I clean it out good. But I really hate the screw in stem/stinger set up. I've seen a number of Kaywoodies online like that too, are pretty well all Kaywoodies like that?

Before 1925, their pipes were all push-tenon. There is also a line of "Hand-made Supergrain" large rusticated pipes that had push-tenons. They're out there, it just takes a bit of looking to find them and many times they aren't cheap.

I have s Kaywoodie Drinkless (44) from the mid 1920's that has a push stem with stinger. An awesome pipe it is the equal of any other pipe of that period methinks. They were not cheap then (around $8.00 when an ounce of gold was worth $20.00) and nice ones today are a bargain at $100.00
