Hello there fellow pipe smokers,

Id like to turn one of my favorite blends, C&Ds Constellation into something similar to HGL.

While I enjoy both blends, HGL does not have enough backbone to it and Constellation could use an Improved room note.

I figured if I could create a hybrid it might be enjoyable.
Anyone have any techniques or recipes they would be willing to share to improve upon ones blend?

Not sure a top note is going to help much.. Won't add strength, if that's what you mean by backbone. I'd suggest adding some Cavendish to it to make the room not more pleasant.

The Constellation has enough backbone for me and thats why I prefer it to HGL. What it lacks is an aromatic quality that is present in HGL.

I figured a topping could help this but maybe I could just add some flavored black cavendish and see what happens. hopefully it would not weaken it too much.
