Cup O Joes offers a small selection of Design Berlin pipes, which have a pleasantly

distinctive look, but Cup O Joes doesn't pin whether all are 9mm filters. Some are

described as 9mm filter convertibles, which I guess means they have adaptors, or

accept them. Are there any Design Berlin pipes that are not 9mm filtered?

(Retailers, this really should be pinned down, along with weight, length, Group size,

designated shape, etc.) I've tramped around the net, and my guess is they all are,

but I haven't seen it stated directly. I have a filter pipe or two, but don't want to get

into another filter system, and I tend to taste adaptors.

We should have three on the SPC site as unsmoked estates

My educated guess is that the second number in the nomenclature indicates whether it has a filter or not ( 9 for filter, 0 without ).
Any 9 mm pipe takes an adapter, and I suppose a "convertible" would be a filter pipe provided with the adapter ( a la Savinelli with the balsas and the little black tube ).

All Design Berlin pipes are 9mm filter pipes. You can smoke with active coal filter, Balsa wood, adapter, or just as they are. See it as a small reverse calabash system in that case.
The links above show Bentley pipes, which could been had without filter.
