Went to an estate sale this morning and it was finally my turn to score.
Saw a pipe stand with a cob in it and something in the humidor.
Snagged it up and smiled at the $10 price written on the tape.
Decatur Lazy Susan pipe stand, 12 slots, in as close to new condition as a body could hope for. The cob had never seen fire but had been chewed on something fierce.
Inside the jar were 6 old pipe filter boxes and and a totally serviceable pipe knife.
No other pipes were in the house, the family said their dad didn't smoke and were surprised when they found the thing in a closet. Go figure.
My first thought was to sell it on eBay, knew I could show a profit.
But then I loaded it with pipes...
Nope. This one is a keeper!
