Okay ladies and gentlemen, so I had an interesting conversation with my tattoo artist that I figured I should share. About two weeks ago, while at my tattoo artist's home receiving some touch ups on my most recent piece, I noticed a fine looking piece of briar sitting in her fine-china display. I inquired as to where the pipe came from and she told me it used to be her grandfather's. She also told me that when she was pregnant with her son she used to wake up in the middle of the night and smell the aromatic tobacco her grandfather used to smoke when she was a child wafting throughout the house, coming from the kitchen. I'm usually not one for the average B.S. "scary stories" or "ghost stories", but I figured this was kinda neat and was worth sharing

I have a pipe that was supposed to be haunted. Bought because it came with a story like that.

Maybe the pipe was fired with the warmth of grandfathers spirit?

I'm taking this as a GREAT sign that there is pipe smoking on the other side, I'll bet all of the discontinued blends we would like to try or smoke again are available, like Balkan Sobranie for example.

They call it "ghosting" for a reason.

That is a cool story... I am with Bubba - I love stories like that. I had a cousin in England who told me she had a ghost in her room. She lived in an old Manor House (not making this up - this house was several hundred years old). She believed it was a man and every night she could smell cigarette smoke at a certain time of night whenever she "felt" his prescence. Okay, she was single, there were no other people living there and she didn't smoke. Wooooooooo!

It actually might be true. I know when my wife was pregnant, her senses became more sensitive. If this lady was the same way her smelling may have been more sensitive to smells and she was able to smell the pipe smell lingering. Depends on how shut up the china cabinet was. But it's somewhat believable. My wife tells me all the time she can smell my pipes when she walks in the den and I don't smoke in the house. So there can be that lingering affect happening.
