So I did some extensive repair on this old Dunhill Tan Shell and it now looks like a regular shell briar, but I still like to smoke it with some Esoterica Pembroke for some reason. The walls are now rather thin, so it smokes a little hot, but I've found that Pembroke smokes quite nicely in it. In fact, I like Pembroke more than any other Esoterica tobacco so far. Heresy you say! Yes I have some Penzance, and some Blackpool, but that's it! I haven't tried any other of their tobaccos, and I'm sure that they're are many more great ones to try, but for now, Pembroke get's my highest vote. I like Penzance, but I just like the taste of Pembroke more, and this old Dunhill with all the repairs done on it smokes it great!
Sorry if I'm flying in the face of most of all that is holy, but this is just me. (and the vodka I drank)

Pembroke was the first tobacco I ever purchased eight ounces of without trying first, it was recommended that highly. Love the stuff though I have not smoked any in ages.
I agree with Daniel, that is a cool picture.
