Well, with today's mail call, I was able to complete my Twain collection. When I got my first Mark Twain Peterson, I knew i had to have all the finishes that they offered the bent pipes in. The pokers are just a bonus, I have no plans to search for those.

    So here it is:

    2 smooth boxed (1 unsmoked)
    Blasted
    Rusticated
    Gold mounted
Ebony (I had a fishtail stem made for this, it fits the ebony, rusticated and green bent pipes)
    Rusticated set (unsmoked)
Green set (1 of 3 sets in existence, unsmoked)

So you say you can drink? Well, I'm from Wisconsin. Try to keep up.

Lovely to see. Am with Anthony in the jealousy department as I had lusted after a MT for years and hadn't snagged one.

Big congrats! I don't do collections as I'd never complete one.

I know that you believe you understood what you think I said, but I'm not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

It's a great collection. I have the rusticated pair in my own collection - although, in contrast to the OP, I much prefer the poker shape (which in this case is meant to be reminiscent of a corncob a la Huck Finn).

I have the one MT in your top left box. That's it. I lust after the others.
    Great job!

Very nice. I just got a Peterson 87 Christmas Pipe (2018) and I really like it. It would be nice to see all your Peterson Mark Twain shapes together on a nice pipe rack. That would be quite the display.

    Thanks for the kind words.

It would be nice to see all your Peterson Mark Twain shapes together on a nice pipe rack. That would be quite the display.

I plan on doing that sometime. My wife and 5 year old son were home, and I just wanted a quick picture.

It took quite a bit of searching and some luck to acquire all of them. Luckily 3 guys private messaged me, on Facebook, saying they could help me acquire 3 of the bent pipes I was missing. I totally lucked into the green set, since Peterson has made only 3 sets in green. I completed the collection in way less time than I figured I would. From my first Twain, boxed bent on the right (second release 1981), till my last, was 20 months.

*If I really want to complete the set, I'll need the numbered ones from the first release (1980).

    ...To be continued?

I love the Mark Twain theme on these, but you know, if his name wasn't associated with any of them, these would be a fine stable of pipes. Smoke 'em!
