This is my latest rescue from the antique shop. A Dr Grabow Commodore 31. It was used and abused, but I saw some potential. Previously owned by the Cake Boss, or by the looks of the tooth chatter, maybe the Big Bad Wolf. Hiding under all the cake and scars was good solid pipe.

This is really an awesome skill to be able to do a restoration like this.
If someone wanted to begin to develop this talent, where would they start?

I think you had 2 pipes, an unsmoked Commodore and that abused one lol.
But seriously, awesome job with this. I don't even think the pipe looked as good as it does now when it was brand new.

"I think you had 2 pipes..."
You performed a 'miracle', from the standpoint of a normal understanding of pipe smoking.

:worship:

I would have called that pipe junk. Trash. Garbage. Not worth restoring. I'm delighted that I was proven very wrong.

All I can say is wow! Not only is the restoration amazing but the fact that you could see the potential for this pipe and rescued it. Way to go!

Thanks fellas. The Commodore is another rare bird from Grabow. These don't show up very often. From what I've read, the ones that have the shape number stamping are the early models.
