Hey guys can anyone recommend a tobacconist in the Cocoa Beach Florida area or some where close to it
I’m going to be heading there soon and I would like to pick up a couple tins to smoke while I’m there
    Thanks

    Keep calm...smoke a pipe.

I just did a Google search... most tobacco shops inside the area are actually head shops, with glass pipes and such. But on Merrit Island there is a place called Buck's, that in the pictures has a selection of Dunhill tobaccos. https://www.google.com/search?q=Cocoa%20Beach%20Florida%20tobacco%20shop&oq=Cocoa+Beach+Florida+tobacco+shop&aqs=chrome..69i57.4886j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&safe=strict&npsic=0&rflfq=1&rlha=0&rllag=28337577,-80609888,2206&tbm=lcl&rldimm=5388083476074858703&ved=0ahUKEwibut-wvdDaAhUDzFMKHZfSAOwQvS4ITzAB&rldoc=1&tbs=lrf:!2m1!1e2!2m1!1e3!3sIAE,lf:1,lf_ui:10#rlfi=hd:;si:9596898347585789783;mv:!1m3!1d52525.54531435367!2d-80.67569044999999!3d28.345024799999997!2m3!1f0!2f0!3f0!3m2!1i435!2i359!4f13.1

But, if you are flying in, you can take tobaccos, and if driving, there are better places along the way. I never rely on a new area to have what I need, so I always carry everything, except maybe a lighter. Just pack it with your clothes, No real need to carry it on. Unless you are taking a $2000 Norhd pipe. Then, I would just suggest taking a cob. But, I have flown with tobacco in my luggage many times. No big deal.

This trip sounds like a good excuse to get yourself a travel pipe case! As if we pipers really need and "excuse", ha.

My pipe case is always ready to go. Keep 1 briar and 1 cob when travelling always.
Just thought it would be nice to check out some new shops and sample some blends when I’m in a different city
I read about that bucks but wasn’t sure if they had pipe tobacco
I’ll check it out while I’m there
    Thanks guys

Some of the old-name briar pipes, maybe Medico and Yello-Bole, make briar pipes (if they still do...) in Tampa, and other pipes made of Brylon are produced under the same brand names in New York. Is it time for another Brylon thread? I've never bought a Brylon -- too heavy, burn too hot, and who buys them? I think that's the real mystery. They are durable and can take any amount of abuse. A few Forums members own them, and even fewer like them, though one member who works in fire reclamation said they are good for really dirty, gritty work situations.

If you're staying awhile, maybe a drive up the coast to Jacksonville will yield better results?
I've seen about 3 or 4 fairly highly rated shops up around the beach area in searches for FL shops.
I think Cocoa is about 2 hours south of there.

I know there is a cigar shop in Cocoa Beach, in the tourist area, on the main drag. I have no idea what they stock. Cigars have zero tax and pipe tobacco is something like 90% IIRC.

Good to see someone patronizing a brick-and-mortar rather than bringing all their own stuff. Gives you a chance to meet people too.

Ya I love checking out new shops and seeing what they have to offer
Also love trying new house blends and let’s be honest with each other here
Do us pipers really need an excuse to add a pipe to the collection ? I think not ...
