shaintiques pointed me in the direction of a friend of his who made me a double plateau freehand based on my general specifications.
It turned out great, and with no offense intended, better than I expected.
The draw is great, the tenon fits perfectly in the mortise, and the chamber walls are about as thick as the chamber diameter, making for great insulation.
And it looks good to boot.
I'm going to followup with a weight and exact measurements, as well as pics.

It's actually been a pleasant breaking in, too. Not harsh.
Measurements come out to:
2.2" chamber depth

.75" chamber width

6.375" overall length

This one was $75 shipped. It is one big chunk of briar.

The stem not being centered in the shank face throws the lines off to my eye. Detracts from a sense of balance.
Eye of the beholder I guess, but I actually like the asymetrical quality of the offset stem. Great looking pipe! Enjoy my friend!!!
