It's either a joke or the seller has no idea ...
... but that's a cute little cob for only a pound. :puffy:

Clearly that's not a Dunhill Cob. A real Dunhill Cob looks like this!

Hey it comes with a box and repair slip so the buyer can send it in; I'm sure the Dunhill will honor it. Would love to see the repairman's face when they open this one!

Maybe it's the photos, but I'm not sure that stem is original. I asked the seller for a close-up picture of the stem.
The JB Hayes has pipe on display in their shop they call a "Dunghill". I thought I had a picture of it here somewhere, but I can't locate it. It was a old beater, that someone glued some fake fur on and stuck on an orphaned Dunhill stem. They always said it "wasn't for sale at any price".

That's how it is spelled, the "G" is silent. And remember, Outback slang for a toilet is a "dunny".

Some unsuspecting pipe newbie will buy this seeing that there is a Dunhill certificate with it and believe they're buying a very old Dunhill pipe. Only hearing the name Dunhill, and not knowing anything about Dunhill pipes, said newbie will surely be disappointed once they gain some actual knowledge and learn that this pipe was never a Dunhill. Sucks to be the high bidder on this one. LOL
