I found this link here while doing a general Internet search. It was originally posted two years ago to this forum, but we have so many new members that I thought it would be worth reposting. It's a great little clip of the production of a pipe at the Charatan factory in the 1940s.

Thanks, enjoyed it. I was surprised that the pipes were oiled, not stained. When I got several Charatans, in the 1950s, they had an awful tasting dark red stain.

After watching the video, I took an affectionate look at my 7 Charatans, in appreciation of the work that went into making them into the fine pipes they are.
