I lived in Pipestone, MN for a few years as a boy. I was even once an extra in the Hiawatha Pagent there with a neighborhood friend and his family. Does anyone own and smoke a Catlinite pipe? They're available online, made by Native pipe makers. I intend to get one or more. I'm a history buff and fascinated by Native cultures, as well as the American Frontier experiences.

Been eyeballing a few effigy catlinite pipes on ebay, but have yet to pull the trigger. Awfully tempting though!

Here is a good source for catlinite pipes. http://www.thepipemaker.com/ The carvers are Lakota.
