Quite an art. It's interesting to see the preliminary mark-up of the block to go at 3-D carving.

Nice videography, and very interesting work. Eager to see more.

Very cool. Looking forward to the finished pipe!

I would never want to smoke out of a pipe like that, as I perfer more simple classic shapes. But I just watched every video in awe.

You my friend are an artist. I'm inspired to attempt carving things because of you.

    Nice work.

    Can't wait to see more!!!!!!!

So great to watch your stem work! You really put a lot of time and effort into your pipe making and it shows! Looks great! Can't wait to see the last video!

Truely outstanding. Very much enjoyed the videos.
One small point is the pipe will be to heavy to smoke.
I carved one in briar in a traditional shape and mine is heavy.
You have a lot of wood there, this is why the carve big shapes in Meerschaum!

    Still outstanding.

eduardovieira, I'm blown away. The whole thing, the making of the pipe and the video. I'm curious, how would you measure the enjoyment and difficulty in making the stem? Is it as fun as carving the pipe? Is it a pain or once you've done it enough times it's pretty easy? It seems like there's less room for error with making a stem....

    Thanks for all your comments.

2 years ago, doing the stem is frustrating, now it's easy...
I think, the secret is knowledge and practice.

I did a video "how to make a smooth tenon", here's the link:

I really love doing the process.

yes, acidpox I sell pipes, and this one is for a Portuguese vip

Out of shear curiosity, how many hours do you think it took you start to finish? Actual work time, that is.

Very nice! Reminds me of Smaug in Lord of the Rings / the Hobbit. I would expect this kind of design in a meerschaum, but am even more impressed to see it in briar.
