A strange and long-shot of a question.....
Hergé - the creator and artist of the Tintin comic books was well renowned for his meticulous research, getting the actual items, photographs of vehicles, clothes and buildings etc so he could draw everything accurately.
I wonder if a particular make of pipe was used as the inspiration or model for Haddocks straight billiard style pipe. Being Belgian with Haddock appearing for the first time in 1940, are there any candidates or does someone know if there is a definite make as inspiration for his actual pipe?
(p.s. I am a Tintin nerd!!!)
