Just got the tests back, wife has cancer again. This is the 3rd time, and I thought last time it was beat. Trying hard to keep it together for her, got to be strong. Damn I am bummed. I think a walk with Jake and a little Penzance is in order. Damn...

I'm really sorry to hear about your wife's battle with cancer.
I have a cousin in the same boat.
She has had 3 really serious bouts and has gone into remission all three times...
Then she broke her shoulder... "If it wern't for bad luck...."
My family knows just how tough it is.
We here wish for nothing but the best for her, and you.

This site may be a source of emotional support for your wife, you, your family, and friends.
I know it was a big help for my cousin.
Please follow the link, there is a lot there that is of material assistance.
It really can be a big help.

Sorry to hear this. Cancer is a tough one. About 10 years ago I worked in the radiation medicine department of the cancer hospital here in Buffalo. Not as a doctor or anything. I made the cerabin molds that slide into the linac machines used in radiation cancer treatment. I eventually had to leave the job because I could not take the depressing atmosphere after 2 years of working there. I would see day in day out patients and their families coming and going. It is a hard thing to have to go through. My father was diagnosed with cancer of the throat. Removed his larynx and he now uses one of those electro-larynx's to speak with. All I can say hang tough. You're scared but she is a lot more scared bro. Be strong for her. Enjoy every minute of every day. My best wishes and prayers go out to you and yours.

Thanks all for the words my friends. It is amazing what a pipe and a dog can do for you. We go back up to JHH on the 2nd for a pre-op meeting and we find out when the surgery is.

Thanks for the links. I feel a little better now. Shock can take a lot out of you.

You guys are champions. Please, let her know that you are blessed, that you love her, and to keep that smile going on. You will be out this one more time. Please let us know when surgery is so we can put our thoughts together that day and we shall come out triumphant.

Lost my mum in law a year ago to cancer. Had to deal with home hospice care and all that comes with it. We were with her til the last day though and that was worth more than anything anyone can do for someone. Just be there and try to be tough. You'll get through.
