I recently got a tin of this. I have only smoked a couple of bowls, but it is a peculiar blend to me and just wanted to see if anyone else had similar experiences.
It is initially a very rich, smoky, latakia-forward blend. However, after a few minutes it develops a peppery tinge that is like smoking cayenne pepper. I am not saying that I don't like it...the peppery flavor is kind of appealing, but is excessive to the point that I suspect that this blend affects me in a way it is not necessarily intended to.
I smoke a lot of perique-heavy blends to it is not a matter of me just being new to the peppery taste of the perique. I just find it odd that it is so hot and spicy, especially since the reviews I have read about it don't describe it this way.
Anyone else experience this when smoking this blend?
thanks

Matt

Not much into Latakia anymore, but MM was always a favorite. While I would get some peppery notes from time to time, my experience always leaned toward rich, smokey and creamy.
Everyone's palate is different.
