Someone sent me an interesting stummel with no stem to bring back from the dead.
The stamping is faint, but everything can be made out with magnification.
The date is definitely an underlined 3, and the patent number definitely ends in /34.
The numeral in the circle is definitely a 4.
So, the pipe was made in 1953, and the 6 leading off the shape number 475 means the original stem was a saddle, yes? (the F/T means fishtail, of course)
Please let me know if I got it wrong. Historical correctness matters in this case.
